UBC Moa Pavilion

UBC’s Museum of Anthropology is located near the edge of Point Grey, surrounded by a beautiful temperate rainforest. Young vegetation coexisted with decayed trees, creating a constrast between young and old within the site. The pavilion posits itself as a small, experimental structure for seating. Wildlife, vegetation, and rot are expected to make the pavilion decay as it ages, mimicking the cycle of life within the existing landscape.
